Sneak Peek at the Keeper of the Light Cover!

9780778329541_TS_SMP.inddI’ve been waiting for this one! Keeper of the Light has had a long history. It was my fourth novel, published way back in the early nineties and set in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. It sold zillions (slight exaggeration) and was definitely my most popular novel until The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes came along. Then about eight years ago, I decided to resurrect it as the start of a trilogy. In late March, it’s due to be reissued yet again, with the second and third books to follow (Kiss River and Her Mother’s Shadow). This is the yummiest cover for Keeper yet! I’ve asked my publisher to redden Annie’s hair a bit more, since she was a definite redhead. And shhh about the meaning of that red scarf to those of you who know the story–we don’t want to give away any spoilers to those who haven’t yet read this book!

My next post will be from the Weymouth Mansion, where I’ll be spending the week with my writing buddies brainstorming, writing, playing games and eating too much. We’ll miss Margaret. Thank you to those of you who’ve asked how she’s doing. Her car was totaled and she has four broken ribs and is in pain, but she stopped by Quail Ridge Books to sign ordered books on her way home from the hospital. You can’t keep that woman down!

Diane, of course you know this is my all-time favorite novel…I absolutely LOVE the new cover and am thankful you’ve asked the publisher to redden her hair…I always think of Annie with her crimson red locks!…I will always keep my original hardcover on my ‘Diane Shelf’ but I have to buy the new copy when it comes out, simply because this is one of the best covers you’ve ever had!…and naturally I will reread the book which will probably be my 10th time.

B and M, I found Still Missing unputdownable. Same with Room, which is similar …yet totally different.

Still missing is a book that is memorable.

I was introduced to my first “Diane” book, “Summers Child” by my sister-in-law in October 2010 and loved it. I have since read “The Bay at Midnight” and now reading “Before the Storm”. She has turned me on to a new author I just LOVE. Thanks Diane!
