My Newest Fan
This is Maddie. Short for Madison. Madison belongs to Angie, the receptionist at my rheumatologist’s office. Angie likes my books, but she had no idea that Maddie shared her ‘taste’. Maddie’s a speed eater, devouring The Bay at Midnight in one sitting, just like my most faithful readers. Angie asked me to sign what remains of the book to Maddie, so that’s what I’m doing in this pic. I think Angie better get Maddie her own copy next time, don’t you?
Maddie is just TOO cute!!! She doesn’t even look real – I love her!
Your books really are that good.
That puppy is so adorable. How can one not smile when looking at her.
When I saw this picture I simply melted…
Hi Diane, I’m a new fan too! Just wanted to thank you for the enjoyment that your books have provided me recently. I have only been reading your novels for a few months and am already about halfway through! I have three small children at home (5 year old boy and 2 year old twin girls) so to say that I haven’t put the books down is saying a lot! 😀
Thanks again and I look forward to reading your newest book.

Welcome to the blog, Jessica. How on earth do you have time to read?? I’m so glad you’re enjoying my books.
Who could possibly be upset with your newest fan? Maddy definitely deserves her own copy. I share books with a neighbor for our readers’ group. We’re reviewing “Olive Kitteridge” for March and the neighbor previously loaned it to another of her friends. It’s a trade paperback but was returned with a large chunk of its cover and the first few pages (margins only) missing, thanks to the friend’s little dog.
What a cute dog…However, don’t think I could return a book without replacing it…I’m OC about my books-give them away, loan them, donate them…but don’t eat them. 🙂 🙂
