Gina, that means so much to me! I’m thrilled with the response to The Midwife’s Confession. Thanks for letting me know.

I just finished The Midwife’s Confession and loved it! You pull me in with your stories and create such amazing characters. Looking forward to your next book. When will you have a new one? Of course, I have read all of yours and consider you to be my favorite author!

Rena, I’m honored to be your favorite author and so glad you loved Midwife. the next book, The Good Father, will be out this time next year, but in case you haven’t read it, The Keeper of the Light trilogy is being reissued before then: Keeper of the Light came out in April, Kiss River will be out in the fall and Her Mother’s Shadow in the spring.

Diane, I said the same thing when I saw this photo…Ahh………………….The sea is absolutely breathtaking! You are so fortunate to live there part of the year and to fulfill your passion of writing…what better place to be inspired! I’m glad you’re finally there and can hopefully get some R&R.
Rena, you are not alone…Diane has been my fav author since I first read KEEPER OF THE LIGHT…the 2 which follow and make up the triology are fabulous…you will absolutely love them. Diane is one of the few authors where every book she writes is unique in its own way…no 2 are alike and each is masterfully crafted…I always finish her novels with a longing for more…and I miss her characters as if they were my best friends.
Diane, congratulations again on publishing your 20th novel…what an accomplishment!

Looks beautiful – does the sand feel and look the same as it did before renourishment?
Hope you had fun at your booksigning at Quarter Moon. Love that store!

Ann, when we were here a few weeks ago, the sand was very gray and not very pretty. There is sill some of that dark sand close to the dunes, but most of it seems to have been replaced by the lighter ocean sand somehow. i honestly don’t know how it feels, because I can’t walk barefoot due to RA. :(. The big difference is in the shells. The sand that was pumped in from the intracoastal was loaded with oyster shells, so there are still tons of them on the beach. I think after a season, things will even out.

my signing is yet to come…this Friday!

I don’t know why I thought your signing was last week???!!!
I have talked to other people who vacationed on renourished beaches and hear different stories – some say the sand is better than before, others say it is worse.
Your beach looks beautiful! We stay at the northern part of the island and as far as I know they have never renourished there – but it could happen. I would still love Topsail Island!

    Diane,
I just finished your books Before the Storm and Secrets She Left Behind and they were absolutely amazing! I fell in love with every character. Those books were so good that when it ended, i wanted to cry because it was over. I searched for another book that’s connected to the other two but didn’t find anything. Words cannot express how much i enjoy your books! Every single book i’ve read from you has been great. You never disappoint. Thank you!

P.s. Any chance there will be a third book?

Thank you, Janal! I think it’s time I left those poor families alone, don’t you? I’m so glad you enjoyed their stories, and I hope you continue to like my other books as well.
