Yikes, it's Tuesday. . .

. . . and I still have Story Weekend up on the blog!

Bear with me. This is a busy week.

Wednesday is my book launch at Quail Ridge Books, so if you’re in the Raleigh area, please  join me to celebrate The Good Father‘s publication. I’ll be speaking and we’ll all eat cake and have a good time!

Meanwhile, what is this in the picture? It’s something that appears in The Good Father. Anybody know?

There’s a rum keg with what looks like rocks, seashells and stuffed toys. Thats my guess.

Good guess, Terry, but there’s more to it. We need someone who’s read the book to fill in the missing piece, I think.

It is in the scene where Robin is taking some B&B guests on a tour of the Old Burying Ground cemetery. It is the grave of the seafaring father’s daughter. Robin was showing all of the famous graves and was surprised by all of the baby graves. This really set Robin off to thinking about Bella and wondering if she was happy with (what she thought then) her adoptive family. She didn’t know at this time that Travis had actually kept Bella, after a long fight with Robin’s father. This is a pivotal point in the story.
