Publication Day: The Good Father is Here!

My favorite day of the year! After twelve months of plotting, writing, rewriting, and rewriting again, here it is: The Good Father! Usually I feel some anxiety along with excitement as I  wonder how my readers will respond to my new story, but the early reviews have been so enthusiastic that all I feel today is happy.

In The Good Father, a young single dad, Travis, loses his home and his job and takes desperate measures to provide for his four-year-old daughter, Bella. But it’s not only Travis and Bella’s story. Bella’s mother, Robin, is about to marry into a high profile family when her past suddenly catches up with her. And Erin, a young woman grieving the loss of her own child, is thrown into turmoil when Travis abruptly leaves Bella in her care. The Good Father is the story of these three lost souls and the little girl who brings them home.

I think The Good Father will make a great read for book clubs, and I’ll be happy to call your club by speakerphone if your schedule matches up with mine. There are discussion questions in the back of the book along with an interview with me. You can also find those questions and interview—plus an excerpt from the book—on my website right here.

I hope you’ll love this story and I can’t wait to hear what you think. (UK and AU readers, The Good Father is available for you now as an ebook, but unfortunately you’ll have one more month to wait for the print edition.)

I have two copies of The Good Father to give away and I’ll choose the winners randomly from everyone who leaves a comment to this post by Wednesday evening, 10pm EST. Open to everyone worldwide. Good luck!

How exciting!!! Im so glad that The Good Father is out- I can’t wait to get my hands on an actual copy. E-books are nice for prereading, but there’s nothing better than turning the next page in a book 😉
Diane, as an avid read and a supporter of all of your work, I want to thank you once again for all of the work and love that you put into The Good Father- it is emotional as it is beautiful. I look forward to reading many more of your works! Best wishes on the release of your newest!

Diane, I’m gonna order your book from my indie bookshop. But I’m gonna save it to read until my vacation in Las Vegas next month. Seems like those two things go together. For the last few years now, it’s become tradition for me to read your newest during my Vegas trip. I’m very excited about this book. Can’t wait to read it!

When you finally finish the product, I feel as if “We” have been allowed in your home, at Starbucks, at the beach and all the other places you have been working. You bring us all in on the project by asking questions and asking for input.

Hi Diane, just finished Brass Ring, as usual, amazing! Home last night from work at 10pm after 5 consecutive shifts & had to be up at 5.30am to go back in this morning, thought I’d just read a couple of pages & go to sleep but couldn’t put it down..finished it just after midnight, I thought just in time to start The Good Father!! Just a little tired tonight & a little frustrated because I can’t access The Good Father electronically, anywhere. I thought I had a print copy being dispatched from the UK but it still hasn’t been 🙁 I seriously can not wait to read it! I love living in Australia but at the moment wish I was in the USA so I could easily get my hands on a copy! Luckily I still have a couple of your books downloaded on my e-reader that I am yet to read. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with us, I will try & be patient until TGF is released in Australia! xxoo
