We Need a Few Good Movie Stars
One of my Facebook friends, Stephanie, asked me what actors I’d like to see play my characters in the movie versions of my books. I hasten to add there are no movie versions planned at the moment, but we can fantasize, can’t we? I’d love to know who you think should play some of the roles, and I’ll keep my own ideas to the end. Any characters are fair game, but I’d suggest we try to cast:
Noelle from The Midwife’s Confession, the younger CeeCee Wilkes in The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes (aka The Lost Daughter), Laurel and Marcus from Before the Storm, Maggie from Before the Storm and Secrets She Left Behind, Annie from Keeper of the Light, and Carlynn from The Shadow Wife.
I’ll be curious to see who you come up with! (PS from this list, I can tell I need to write more male characters! I’ve got a good one coming in May with The Good Father. Just wait!).

Maggie for me was always Andi from the Goonies. (Kerri Green apparently).
Every time I read The Secret Life of Cee Cee Wilkes I always imagine Maggie Gyllanhal (is that how you spell it?) as Cee Cee.
So interesting how different readers visualize different characters.

I think the young Cee Cee should be Saoirse Ronan. Cee Cee was one of my favorite characters…having chosen the young Cee Cee, who do I think should be the older one? I will have to think about that..

Nicole Kidman as Annie in Keeper of the light
I’d say Annie needs to be someone reeking sexuallity, so I’d go with someone like Angelina Jolie for that, also like Annie, Angelina Jolie is really into charity/helping others out, kind of thing.
I’d say Russell Crowe for Marcus, although I remember Marcus being blonde? someone like that stature for him, really big and powerful looking.
Laurel I’d always imagined as the woman who played the Mom on Gilmore Girls, forgot her real life name. (sorry)
I think Rachel McAdams is awesome as Maggie. Noelle I’d imagine someone wispy, and light, no names come to mind right now though.
Oh my goodness, DEFINITELY Alex Kingston as Annie in “Keeper Of The Light”. Without a doubt!
Oh and either Poppy Montgomery or Rachelle Lefevre as Lacey 😉
Noelle-I’m blanking on what she looks like but I would choose either Jennifer Love Hewitt or Kate Winslet.

Laurel-Jennifer Connelly or Jennifer Garner.
