Backlist on Fire! (and a Contest)

As you probably know, last year I published five of my out-of-print books as e-books. Well, today I checked my records to see if it was worth the time and effort. Uh. . . YES! You bought over 50,000 of them in 2011! I’m staggered by that number, especially since I never thought those books that I’d treasured would ever see the light of day again.  Thank you for embracing them. They’ll be the subject of my February newsletter, due to go out in a few days, and that’s where the contest comes in. Everyone on my mailing list is eligible to win a $100 bookstore gift certificate. Whether you’ve been on my list for years or are a total newbie, you’re eligible. You have till March 18th at 10 pm EST to sign up. I love giving things away, so please join in the fun!

Congratulations Diane! What an achievement! Altho I still prefer to read original, printed novels in book form, I’m so happy for people that have never read your earlier works and can now have easy access to them with e-books. 50,000 is a huge number for 1 year!! So happy for you and for your new readers!! (-:)

I still haven’t got myself an e-reader yet. But hopefully will get one soon. I still love a good book though. The smell and the feel of them. e-readers are really handy though. I definitively will be down-loading your books on to it once I get one. Congratulations Diane on the numbers of e-books sold. I’m sure the numbers are still going up as well! 🙂

I discovered your books early on and loved every one of them. I was feeling bummed the other night about my chronic back pain. Decided to treat myself to a Diane chamberlain. Downloaded secret lives and lost myself in a great story. I kept thinking “this is the DC I fell for all those years ago. I remembered that there were some rereleases last year. I remember reading this book, but am savoring the joy of reading it again. Thanks for the memories.

Susan, so glad you can enjoy Secret Lives all over again. When people ask me my favorite of my books, that’s the one I pick because I felt as though I really learned how to tell a story while writing it. I love that it’s getting this second life!
