Thanks, Kelly!
Remember back in September when my online friend, Kelly, and I were stranded on Topsail Island for several days, cut off from the mainland (and food!) by flooded roads? Well, I do! I’m not heading to my condo if rain’s predicted ever again. But this makes it all worthwhile. In today’s mail, this beautiful quilt arrived from Kelly as a thank you for hosting her through days of pouring rain, tornado warnings, waves lapping at our back door, carport ceilings crashing in the middle of the night, and only crackers and pickles for substenance! Kelly is a passionate and skilled quilter and this quilt is a real stunner, sewn from her hand-dyed batik fabrics. Aren’t the colors amazing? Thank you, Kelly, for your thoughtfulness and your good sportsmanship. We’ll do it again one of these days, when sunshine is in the forecast!
The quilt is beautiful! What a treasure.
Well we already knew she was a sweetie…Kelly..you could come be stranded with me anytime ..well, like now..going stir crazy in the aftermath of the blizzard.. 🙂
I love the picture Diane. Sorry Cindy – don’t do blizzards. The storm at least didn’t have snow to shovel.
