Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Blessings to you Diane, John and Pups…and to everyone else who comments on this blog…we are all friends thanks to Diane and her website.
Beautiful, beautiful photo…Diane, I swear you look younger every year!…I think the ocean and your family of John, Keeper and Jet give you the happiness that shines through with your smile.

Greatest invention 21st Century-IPHONE…love it. Now love the Kindle too…have to admit it is fantastic…have a good Christmas all of you…Diane, you look so happy and relaxed.

Diane, I am hoping in 2011 or 2012, Margo can fly to NC; I will pick her up and we will come to one of your speaking engagements or a signing…we have to meet you…on my bucket list.

Just finished a book I loved…rec it to Margo. That being said, there were several typos and many inaccurate research items…that drives me absolutely nuts…sorry…it seems with authors relying on research on the Internet…problematic-but necessary. One place that this author wrote about-a hotel in the town-does not have hotel or motel…now there is one on a highway to that town and MIGHT have that address…but that hotel is one mile from me and l0 miles from the address he gave…oh well…
In the meantime, I just ordered a lighted cover for my Kindle…did I say I love it??? I give in…I was wrong…

Brenda, my goal is to meet you and Diane someday…I would absolutely LOVE to fly to NC and meet you…then go to a book signing of Diane’s…maybe to Topsail where she loves signing books (-O: Would love to see the Island where her last books are set.
Diane and everyone, Brenda was given a Kindle for C-mas and has fallen in love with it…I just might have to look into getting one eventually, altho I love my hardbound books so much…am afraid it would be a huge adjustment for me.

Margo, when I am reading it is like a book…I have ordered a lighted cover to read on planes, etc…I love it…you have to get one..don’t get the real expensive one though…this one is just perfect. On another note, some people want to meet Oprah, Harrison Ford, etc., we want to meet Diane…

I insisted that I did not want a kindle. My sister gave me one and it took about 30 seconds for me to realize that I DID want a kindle. I have had mine for over 2 years and don’t know what I did without it. I still read “books with pages” but you really need a kindle if you travel. It is like taking a bookcase full of books in your pocketbook.

Brenda and Ann…you are really making me think twice about a Kindle…I might breakdown and look at one next year…I have so much love for my printed books and the joy of visiting my fav bookstore every week to see whats new…I just know it would be a huge adjustment…I’ll have to think about it…love my books so much.
Ann, are you reading I CAN SEE YOU by Karen Rose?…I’m halfway…what an intriguing mystery!…thank you Brenda for recommending a new author for us. (-O:

Hi everybody! Brenda and Margo, I’d love to meet you both, so come on down! Just not right now when we’re snowed in. The power was out till 2 today and we were packing up to go to Brittany’s when it came back on. Since we have gas heat, I didn’t connect “no power” with “no heat.” Brr!
Glad those of you with e-readers are enjoying them. I’m reading a book with pages right now (Chaz McGee’s Angel Interrupted. Chaz is my friend Katy Munger and the book is WONDERFUL, but the pages are driving me nuts, so I’m sure I’ll be downloading it for my iPad sometime today.
I’m putting together my list of ten faves for the year right now!

My son has books on IPad also-he does tell me he likes the ereader better…I agree…I used his IPAD…the Kindle is much easier to navigate pages. My son downloaded when he was putting the l00 books on my Kindle before he sent it on to me for Cmas. One school in my state is ordering them for each student…wow…
I opened this Kindle and started reading right off…

Margo, I have not started I Can See You. I have not had time to read much lately and I think it is a book I will not want to put down for long periods of time – so now that christmas is over I plan to start it this week!! Will keep you posted. Thanks in advnce to Brenda – I love to find new authors.

  16. Margo on December 26, 2010 at 8:55 pm

Brrrrrrrrrrrr Diane!…glad your heat is back on!…didn’t know NC got snow like us!…it must be unusual to be snowed in in North Carolina, unless I’m mistaken.
Ann, you’re right…once you start the book, its hard to put down, and if you do put it down for awhile, there are so many characters you have to refresh yourself…Brenda did good recommending this new author to us!

  17. Brenda on December 27, 2010 at 1:34 pm

I am not sure she is a new author
I have read several by her
    This one is so good

  18. Margo on December 27, 2010 at 1:45 pm

Brenda, I think Karen Rose has probably been around for a little while, but she’s a new author for Ann and me…had not heard of her till you recommended I CAN SEE YOU…thx so much for suggesting this book…really, really hard to put down.
