My state has a great BOOK exposition/fair each fall. It seems that the last few years each time it happens (about 30 miles from me)…I am not in town. This year it is on the date of the all school reunion that I am planning. I am particularly aggravated because, among many famous writers, Nicholas Sparks is appearing. Now most who know me (esp. my students) know that I am not impressed with personalities…however, I would like to have thanked him in person for DEAR JOHN. I love what he wrote about growing up-it might not have been the best life-but “it is not the journey; it is the destination…” Those words resonate with me. I do not think I can get there in time to see him and get back in time to have everything ready for those traveling from across the country. This is the third reunion I have done (since returning to my home state) as a fund raiser for scholarships and show choir…I have always wanted to help give back to my alma mater-this little girl who grew up in a simple life…was given the gift of reading by so many good teachers…
So hard when there are two things you want to do at the same time, Brenda. You’ll have a great time, either way. As for the Norwegian title of CeeCee, I have no idea what it says!
Thanks. I don’t feel so ignorant…How wonderful it must make you feel to have your work over the world…my goodness-what a treat they have in store…I LOVE LOVE that book.
A picture says a thousand words…too precious…
Darling cover!
That is so totally cute!
Love it…
She’s going to hate that hair when she’s a grown up!
What’s the title? Is it changed?
