I wish my readers who celebrate Easter or Passover a joyful time with family and friends.

My California granddaughter, CC, is in town for the festivities. She’s now fifteen months old and a smiley little thing. I gave her this little outfit and when we saw how perfectly she matched one of our dogs, Keeper, John had to whisk both of them downstairs to the studio to take their picture.

Easter will be at our house tomorrow with lots of extended family, tons of food, and plastic eggs hidden all over the living room, some of which I’m sure I’ll be finding well into the fall.  I plan to forget about writing for 24 hours (we’ll see how that goes. . . ) and enjoy the day.

Have fun, everyone!

What a wonderful picture! To get a good picture of both a little child and a dog at once takes real talent – John has it!

Happy Easter everyone! I didn’t get to go home at all this holiday as I’ve been working every day! I’m spending this holiday alone (apart from when I’m working with my client) because my roommate moved out yesterday (good riddence though) so I’m cleaning and painting!

Thanks for the good wishes, and I hope you’re all having a wonderful day. The crowd (13 grown-ups and 4 little kids) have departed, the kitchen’s clean, and I’m about to put my feet up.
Lindsay, sounds like you were ready for some quality alone time (though I hope your ex-roommate is not a reader of this blog! lol).
I’ll have some contest news early this coming week!

Lindsey-as my children live away from me-I sometimes have to spend holidays alone-not too bad…today I joined friends for dinner-but that is unusual…
I agree-hope your roommate does not read this BLOG
Happy Easter to all of you…
My daughter and the little ones arrive tomorrow for a few days-I am on spring break…everytime I go by the kitchen counter/bar, I feel guilty-that’s where the research papers are.

Lindsey, I totally relate…my children had various roommates in college…they finally lived alone at their schools in Texas and Indy…and law school too. When I returned to college in my 40’s to become a teacher-I had two roommates for l semester…I was fortunate…they were fine…the house we shared was not…holes in the roof–no curtains at the windows…little heat…holes in the floor-we could smell the smoke from the students beneath us-the lock did not work on the door-homeless liked our porch…it was an experience…oh yes…the kitchen floor tilted…and the sink leaked-the water ran sideways…this was what a woman who had a beautiful home, 4 vehicles, owned HALLMARK store…etc…lived in to make it on HER OWN…it was something else…will never forget it…

Write a book Brenda…you definitely have a story to tell…and knowing how beautifully you write (I’ve read the columns you’ve e-mailed me) I think you could do a wonderful job on a novel. (-O:

She is simply adorable. Haven’t been around here lately. Looks like things are going well for you – “Secrets She Left Behind” looks quite intriguing!
