Soon I’ll have this on my blog and new website so you won’t have to click on youtube to watch it, but I absolutely couldn’t wait that long to share it!

Diane – I love it!!! Congratulations! If you don’t mind, I would like to add it to your page on the NC Authors page?
Best Wishes!
Very cool. How enticing is that? I love the excitement in his voice, talking about all the attention he is getting. I am making up the story and wonder how right or wrong I might be. I have not been on a blog to be able to discuss a book as it comes out. Good thing I am retiring – now I’m going to have to get all of Jodi Picault’s books, Elizabeth Lett and the other authors mentioned by Brenda in previous blogs. Imagine a summer (at least) of leisurely reading!
Yay Diane! Love the trailer! I can’t WAIT for this book!!
Hey Diane? What did you mean when you said…..you didn’t want us to wait “that long.” How long are we talking about? LOL Just playin’ with ya. 🙂
Glad you all like it. I love “Andy’s” voice. He sounds just like I imagined. Gina, the new site should be up next week. I hope.
The trailer sounds good. I didn’t even know they did them for books. Things here have been good. Weather has been horrible, last week we have 4-21 in of snow throughout the east side of the state and last night we had tornando and blizzards warnings. yuck. I just want the sun to shine and it to be 70 degrees out. Baby is doing good. He’s getting big. When he moves it’s painful (I’m still not very big and Diane I swear I eat like a pig lol) but I love every minute of it. I’ve felt his foot and his little rump and his legs, it’s all so great. I just wish it was time to hold him. I’m just finishing up breaking the silence. I had to force myself to go to sleep last night, I love this book. But I’m going to go finish the last few chapters here….
Oh! I know what you mean Krysia, Breaking the Silence keeps you up at night. That one was a good one! I have one last book left of Diane’s and that’s The Escape Artist. I’m holding on to it like it’s my last piece of cake. HeeHee I’ll read it this summer before the new book comes out.
Wow!!!
Krysia-where have you been? I have missed hearing from you.
Margo: H’s books:
I like them. I really like Beach Club…I have read 4 of hers now.
She is predictable with the same themes: older woman and younger man (even younger BOY)…interracial relationships-thus will appeal to a wider audience. That being said, I am surprised she is not more popular-well known.
Having spent several weeks on Hyannis one summer (teachers) and one month in the Berkshires, and several short trips to Mass…I am aggravated that I did not go over to Nantucket. My trip to Hyannis (although enjoyable) was such a nightmare of flights from South Carolina where I lived then…spending one day in Martha’s airport…I was not going anywhere but Hyannis…
After I spend this summer where I am going-my kids, etc…next summer, I might plan a long weekend there…Have to see it now. Are the places in H’s books real???
I must see your pictures now…
A friend of mine (and her hubby) went to Nantucket-she hated it-cold, rainy…they left and flew to Sanibel (ahh…to have that choice and money…)Waiting to hear from you about your trip to N (again)
Diane-you are doing a great job-the trailer is one of the best…
Gina-you are in for a delight with that book…
The Wow is for the trailer… sounds just like what I thought he would.
Brenda-I haven’t been able to get into the site from my phone. Sitting in front of the computer or sitting in general is uncomfortable and I do it all day at work. So I like to lay down when I get home so the little man isn’t so cramped.
Krysia-glad to know you and the little fellow are okay. One of my young students just had a baby-over 8 pounds-without a C SEction. If she weighed 80 pounds I would be surprised…she is probably way under 5 foot-the smallest high school student ever…She went into labor before they did the SEction…she is doing GREAT!!!!! So will you…Good luck…
krysia, you sound great! i think we’re all waiting for the big day!
Gina, enjoy The Escape Artist. Or maybe you should save it to read between Before and After the Storm since there will be a gap of about 9 months between them.
Brenda, glad you liked the trailer!
Diane-she can read your book now and reread it. I read your books 2-3-4 times per year-all of them. When I need a fix, it is a DIANE fix…your books relax me…
Julie, Lopate, Gerard, and Francine Prose have written some great books about reading/writing/voice. I love Lopate’s THE ART OF PERSONAL ESSAY…and Prose’s book is great…
It is not easy teaching “voice”…I believe it is by writing…the more my students-at school and the college-write-the more they find the VOICE…
Good luck.
Yes-I love your “rambling” as you call it… I think you are an enchanting writer…
I LOVE IT DIANE! This is the 1st I’ve experienced a book trailer…what a wonderful idea!…if I had never heard of you, I would definitely buy the book after watching this clip! Krysia, so good to hear your doing good…we’ve missed you!…I agree, BREAKING THE SILENCE was fabulous and I recall staying up all nite to finish it! Gina, you’ll love ESCAPE ARTIST…I think I read it in 2 days straight. Liz, I’m definitely going to visit Topsail Island 1 day…Diane has me SO INTRIGUED and without a doubt I know I will fall in love with it, especially after reading her 2 new books. My love for the sea and nature is evident in my paintings and I think the way Diane has described Topsail is all of that and more! The turtle hospital would be my 1st place to visit! (especially since I want to design a weaving of those unique creatures who have sadly been wounded…and I’d love to meet Jean who takes care of them!). Brenda, did you read E Hilderbrand’s BLUE BISTRO?…I felt it was diff from her other books and I liked it best…and YES…the landmarks she mentions in her books are on Nantucket Island. I can’t wait to go back there. Diane, I have pre-ordered BEFORE THE STORM at my fav bookstore and now I’m just counting the days! I finally finished PILLARS OF THE EARTH (1000 pages!). Like Brenda, I re-read Diane’s books all the time and have a record going with KEEPER OF THE LIGHT…4 times! Ann, your so lucky to be able to visit Topsail so often…enjoy the shore!
I have BLUE BISTRO on order at the library and one other one-after that, I have read all of them. I looked up the hotel-Jared Coffin…whew…the prices…that one was in the book. Thus far, I really love Beach Club.
Margo-I agree with you-Diane is so loyal to her fans…and you know what, that is what keeps us her fans…
