Jersey Girl goes Home

I’m off to New Jersey in the morning to visit my sister and brother-in-law, have dinner with my brother and lunch with my agent. Not sure how often I’ll be able to get online there, so I thought I’d better check in now. It’s interesting packing to fly these days. I just emptied hand lotion, chapstick and a few other odds and ends from my purse.
Progress is being made on the big website overhaul. I’m hoping it will be up and running in a week or so. I also hope my new grandbaby doesn’t arrive while I’m gone, although at this point, the day can’t come soon enough for my stepdaughter. Being pregnant in August in the South is not fun! No one knows if it’s a boy or a girl. I can’t wait to find out!
I hope to be checking in from NJ. Bye for now…

Diane, in a past blog you talked about a future visit to Emerald Isle…lots of people commented and I had never heard of it so did a little research…it looks and sounds absolutely beautiful, very remote with wildlife, ocean and sand. Definitely my kind of place…would love to know more about this enchanting area…enjoy your stay in New Jersey with your family (-:

Margo, I’ll tell you about Emerald Isle in late September, which is when we’re going. It’s new to me too, but I hope to set part of my WIP there.
The flight to NJ was just a little over an hour. Amazing, since it would be a 10 hour drive. I’m safely installed at my sister and brother-in-law’s house and getting hungry for some Jersey food.

    Enjoy and relax…
I have now attended both grad classes-one is a doctoral class (even though some of us are working on Master’s…)whew…. the reading and portfolio-whew…need I say more.
I hope and pray I can finish this semester still sane…
Diane-hope you enjoy it there…for a visit…when I go to NY Marathon with my son, we stay in a hotel in NJ about a mile from POrt Authority. One year, my husband went with me, and we drove-took 8 hours. Last year, I flew–with waiting in airport-changing planes-took 7 hours…however…when I go alone-I fly…
You were luck. One hour. Must have had a straight flight…good for you.
