Voting Time: Brass Ring E-Book Cover
I’m having so much fun with these covers that I’m going to miss creating them when I have all my out of print books up as e-books. So far, I’ve made Secret Lives, The Escape Artist and Reflection available for e-book readers. Now I need to narrow down the cover choices for Brass Ring, so I hope you’ll help me again. It’s the story of a woman who, after witnessing a woman leap to her death from a bridge, keeps having flashbacks to something that happened in her childhood. It involves a carousel, of course, and her younger sister. (And her husband, who is a dear but who is not in any of these covers). The following images are rough, but whichever one I pick will be cleaned up nicely and of course will have my name and the title on it. Thanks for your help! (PS that’s a carousel in C. I can see it would need to be lots bigger!)

I choose D and B and after reading the des-
cription of your novel on the Internet I really
can’t wait to read this one. Is it gonna be long
before I could enjoy it?
D gets my vote, maybe way in the back ground add the carousel?
Like a county fair in the distance?
I choose C
I choose D.
I like E
Chantal, it should be out in about two weeks, I hope.
I like B the best…C next…think it is good to have the carousel in the picture…love this book…as did my husband…
any of them with the 2 girls
wow i can’t even spell my own name. Any with the 2 girls and like someone else said add the carousel in the distance like a fair, the farm and the carousel are 2 bog things in the book if i remember right
I love B.
I like B
d or g im undecided… as ive said in the past if you expose too much face and the chacters dont fit then its disappointing…
I like B.
D or C.
I have read the book and is one of my favorites. Wasn’t it winter when the woman jumped? I will have to check again. that is the only one that seems to fit the story.
brenda, yes it was winter when she jumped, but the story continues into late spring, and the girls spent their summers on the farm. The image on the bridge is supposed to be more metaphorical than literal. 🙂
I like C with a bigger carousel. It has a great dreamlike quality and its perspective draws the reader in.
Having read “Brass Ring”, I think number B really stands out to me. I also like C, and the one with the bridge. Sorry, I forgot that number 🙁
I’m tallying up the votes on the blog and on Facebook. My favorite, A, received NONE, which goes to show what I know! Here’s how they stacked up:
B:13
C:10
D: 12
E: 3
F: 0
G: 2
So it will either be B, C, or D, and I’m leaning toward D because you wouldn’t believe the Photoshop work that will have to go into B and C and I have a book to write! Thanks so much for your input.
I am very excited for this book to be coming out as an e-book, especially since I just ordered my e-reader! Can’t wait to re-read all these!
I like A or D…
Good luck with choosing!
Yay, someone finally voted for A! LOL. Andrea, I hope you love your e-reader. . . and hope you love Brass Ring, too!
I like D and E!
